Should the public know if the Director of the Arizona Department of Economic  Security (AZDES), Timothy Jeffries, intentionally targets and frames a veteran?

Connect these dots -

  • I receive a green government(?) check with no explanation.  It was by itself in a brown envelope with, I believe, no return address. I cashed it immediately without making a copy.   Can we find out who sent the check and why?

  • About three months later, I receive an eleven-page "Request for Information " from an unidentified source.

  • Is there a connection between the two surprises? Is this a setup?

  • It disempowers me by attacking my character and my resources.

The "Request for Information", due nine days after it was mailed, is a piece of work. It asks me, for example, to verify three benefits that I have never seen:

"Social Security Retirement, Survivors and Windows Benefits received by Anthony OConnell from 01/26/2014 through 02/25/2014"

"Social Security Disability Income received by Anthony OConnell from 01/26//2014 through 02/25/2014"

"Veterans Administration (VA) Aid received by Anthony OConnell from 01/26//2014 through 02/25/2014"

There should be paper trails explaining this. There should be paper trails explaining why these three benefits are said to have started on 1/26/2014 and are said to have ended on 2/25/2014. Why doesn't Director Jeffries respond and show these paper trails?

What triggerred this? Was something put in some database that would signal those who see it to treat me badly and not have to be accountable? Something like the VA's "Patient Record Flags"? This is not the first time this phenomenon has happened. History suggests it would not be prudent for me to apply for anything under the control of the AZDES or the AZDVS unless there is change. There should be a reason for Director Jeffries to treat me this way. What is it?
